Thousands of Austrian Jewish war veterans, many wearing the highest Austrian decorations for bravery, turned out today in an imposing demonstration at a memorial service for the Jewish World War dead.

The demonstration, which centered around the dedication of 100 tombstones, recently erected, was considered a hint that Austrian Jewry had made enormous sacrifices for the country and that those services must not be forgotten in formulating government policy.
