The only way to prevent another World War is to bring about the downfall of the Hitler regime in Germany through the economic boycott, Murray B. Louer is convinced. Mr. Louer is chairman of the $25,000 campaign among Chicago congregations to raise funds for the Chicago committee for the Defense of Human Rights against Nazism.
“The peace of the world must be maintained and Hitler Germany is the only menace to world peace,” he declares. “Only through a persistent and vigorous economic boycott will we be able to assure safety to all races and creeds within the borders of the Reich.
“But as long as Hitler is in power this will be impossible. The economic boycott is the only way to bring about the desired result.”
He reports enthusiastic support from the rabbis and synagogue presidents of Chicago and the Midwest for the Chicago committee and its work.
