The Nazi government is preparing a decree depriving all German Jews of citizenship rights, except that German Jews abroad will continue to be entitled to protection by German diplomatic agents, The London News Chronicle reported today in a dispatch from Berlin. At the same time, the dispatch said, the Nazis are embarking on a wide anti-Jewish drive to oust the few Jews remaining in the German theatre and in the literary and artistic life of the nation.
The News Chronicle reports that only Germans whose ancestry can be proven “pure Aryan” for at least three generations will enjoy citizenship rights and the right to vote, after promulgation of the new law.
