Theodore Dreiser will speak at the sendoff for 500 delegates from New York City to the Congress Against War and Fascism which will be held in Chicago the coming weekend.
The sendoff is to be held in Mecca Temple tomorrow evening under the auspices of the American League Against War and Fascism.
Among the delegates who have been elected from New York City are representatives from churches, pacifist groups, social service organizations, independent trade unions, American Federation of Labor locals, women’s organizations, the Communist Party, youth groups, and professional and intellectual organizations.
Professor Colston E. Warne of Amherst College, the Rev. Clayton Powell, Jr., of the Abyssinian Baptist Church, Dr. William Spofford of the Church League for Industrial Democracy, and Charles Krumbein of the Communist Party will also speak at the Mecca Temple meeting.
