Faced with the vexatious problem of getting rid of a load of confiscated liquor, George F. Carroll, manager of the Detroit branch of the state liquor control commission, happening to recall that his Jewish friends often spoke of “kiddush,” hit upon a happy idea, and today the inmates of the Jewish Old Folks Home of Detroit are enjoying some forty-eight bottles of 100-proof stuff.
