Solomon Beauman, who said he lived at the Eighth Street Baths, was asked a few questions yesterday as he took his place in the lineup at Police Headquarters.

“Yes,” he said, “I was at Professor Einstein’s lecture at Yeshiva College.”

“What did Einstein talk about?”

“Oh, simple things. I-ah, was a bit bewildered. What he said went over my head.”

He was told he would have a chance to figure it out, and was detained on a charge of picking pockets. He has a record of seventeen arrests on similar charges.
