There are few people in the world who can be of pure race, according to Lord Raglan. In a broadcast talk last night on anthropology,” he attacked prevalent racial “theories.”

“There is no such thing as a Latin race,” Lord Raglan said. “Latins were people of Central Italy, and when they conquered half the world they took their language with them. There is no such thing as the Jewish race. The Jews are, racially, very mixed. Statistics show that only about a quarter of them have the so-called Jewish nose. The Jewish nose probably came from the Hittites, who belonged to the Alpine race and spoke the Aryan and not the Semitic language.

“The only people of pure race today are the isolated peoples such as the Eskimos and the Congo pygmies,” Lord Raglan declared.
