Acting on the formal complaint of the British Legation that this country had become the center for an organization furthering illegal immigration of Jews into Palestine, the Greek government yesterday ordered establishment of a system of strict control over the movements of Jewish travelers here.

The order established a virtual espionage upon Jews arriving here and affects Jews of all nations regardless of citizenship. The complaint on which the order was provoked was based on the efforts of many Jews from Poland and other Eastern European countries to depart to Palestine through Greek ports.
