Protests made by the American Federation of Labor and other trade union groups against flying the Nazi swastika in a labor meeting hall are causing the Brooklyn Germans to seek a place other than the Brooklyn Labor Lyceum for their German Day celebration.
The announcement that the celebration, which is to be held on November 25, was scheduled for the Labor Lyceum led to a series of objections. Since a number of representatives of the present German government have been invited by the arrangements committee to participate in the program of the evening, the swastika banner must be displayed, the committee announced.
It will meet Monday evening to decide where the celebration will be held. The Ridgewood Grove, used by Nazi groups on a number of occasions, has been suggested.
