Abraham Berkowitz, assistant district attorney, was drafted to head the membership campaign of B’nai B’rith in Philadelphia at a meeting of the local council. Berkowitz is a former president of District No. 3 and a member of the Anti-Defamation League.
“B’nai B’rith stands upright and proud, ready to defend the interests of Judaism and humanity against the dark and evil forces of hatred and bigotry,” he said in accepting the position.
