A number of German Jewish refugees who have come here during the past year have united with older Jewish immigrants from Germany and Hungary to establish a religious community of German-speaking Jews.
The organization resolved to erect its own synagogue, which is to serve as a community centre for the new immigrants as well as to collect a library and to arrange a series of lectures. The principal object of the group is to implant in the younger generation a feeling for Jewish religion and tradition.
