“Every Jew in this country fit to fight during the World War did so,” said Major J. B. Brunel Cohen, honorary treasurer of the British Legion, at a reunion tea of British Jewish ex-Servicemen and women here. Major Cohen said that 50,000 Jews were in Flanders and other sections during the war; that five Jews won Victoria Crosses and numerous others won many decorations.
