For years Jewish Daily Bulletin readers have turned to us for various types of information.

This state now has two Jewish members of Congress, both Democrats.

One is Representative Herman P. Kopplemann of Hartford, who was returned to Washington at the polls yesterday in recognition of an unusually active first term.

Connecticut’s new Jewish Representative is William Citron, elected Congressman-at-large. Citron has been prominent in the State Legislature, in whose lower body he was twice minority leader. He is a resident of Middletown and the city’s corporation counsel.

Both Citron and Kopplemann have been active in Jewish affairs.
