Hundreds of Polish Jewish porters, baggage movers and dock workers, specially chosen for their sturdy physique, will shortly leave for Palestine, where they will be employed in the newly created harbor of Haifa, it was announced here today.

Aba Chushi, of Palestine, a special delegate of the Jewish Agency, is now in Poland, where he is selecting the candidates for dock work in Haifa from thousands of Jewish applicants in every section of Poland.

A similar procedure was followed at Salonica, Greece, where the Jewish Agency chose 130 young Jews for work in Haifa harbor. The Salonica Jews, however, have been harbor workers for generations.
