Tribute to the memory of the late Simon Land, Zionist leader, was paid by hundreds at Shaarei Zion Synagogue here. Land was treasurer of the Seabord Zionist Region for a number of years.
Rabbi Israel Tabak announced establishment of a prize for the junior classes of Shaarei Zion Synagogue to be known as the Simon Land Memorial Award. The Hazkorah was chanted by Cantor Samuel Greenberg.
