Dr. Honor Named to Chicago Board

The Chicago Board of Jewish Education announces the election of Dr. Leo L. Honor to the post of executive director, made vacant by the resignation of Dr. Alexander M. Dushkin, who has accepted the chair in education at Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

For the past five years Dr. Honor has been director of the College of Jewish Studies in this city, and on the lecturing staff of the University College of the University of Chicago.

Before coming to Chicago he was associated with the Bureau of Jewish Education of New York, and for thirteen years served also as registrar of the Teachers’ Institute of Jewish Theological Seminary. He was lecturer in Jewish history at the Graduate School for Jewish Social Work, and for the religious education department of Columbia University.
