Many Charities Get Bequests in Cohen Will

After payment of $50,000 to five relatives, many charitable institutions will receive ten per cent of the net estate of the late Abraham Cohen, according to the terms of the will filed for probate in Surrogate’s Court yesterday. Mr. Cohen, who died November 19 at his home at 336 Central Park West, was formerly associated with Hearn’s Department Store. His estate was valued at “more than $10,000.”

The institutions that will benefit are Mount Sinai Hospital, Hospital for Deformities and Joint Diseases, Deborah Benevolent Sewing Society, Sisterhood of Congregation Rodeph Sholom, Hebrew Orphan Asylum, Convalescent Home for the Hebrew Child at Rockaway Beach, Home for Hebrew Infants, Montefiore Home for Chronic Diseases, Henry Street Settlement, Jewish National Home for Consumptives in Denver, National Farm School in Buck County, Pennsylvania.

Stanley Weiss of 33 Riverside drive and Mrs. Frieda Heidelberger of 336 Central Park West receive the residue of the estate after the specific bequests are taken care of.
