Saul Kemmer, 59, and Israel Ratner, 53, were severely injured in a series of anti-Jewish riots which swept this city.

Endek youth groups which attempted to raid the Jewish quarter were at first dispersed by police detachments.

After church services, the Endek groups reassembled and attacked Jewish pedestrians and demolished Jewish stores on Lyczakower street. Kemmer and Ratner were badly beaten by the Endeks and removed to a hospital.

Police reserves arrived while the anti-Semitic bands were still at work and quickly restored order.
