Two Jewish youths from this city have been awarded the highest honors that can be won at Ohio State University. Seymour A. Treitleman, law student, was given the Tau Epsiilon Rho fraternity scholarship trophy for having the highest scholastic average during the year 1933-1934.

Sam Arnold was one of eight students in the School of Commerce elected to Beta Gamma Sigma, highest honorary fraternity in this professional school.
