Polish Zionist groups today had cabled protests to Jewish Agency headquarters in Palestine against the manner in which the 3,000 immigration certificates assigned to Poland were distributed. The certificates, part of the immigration schedule, were allotted on order of the World Zionist Executive.

The League for Working Palestine, affiliated with the Laborites, and the Warsaw Zionist group headed by Isaac Gruenbaum, protested against the fact that individual certificates had been granted on recommendation of the Palestine Peasants Association and the Palestine Industrialists Association. Another point at issue was the fact that the Warsaw Palestine office had no voice in the allotment of these certificates.
The two Palestine groups secured allotments of certificates when they complained that the shortage of workers was most acute on the farms, while immigrants settled mostly in the cities.
They offered to bring in elements which would go directly to the farms. The Jewish Agency assigned them a number of certificates after they had threatened to negotiate directly with the Palestine government for a separate schedule.
