Saarlanders returning home on Hitler’s plebiscite excursion may be detained and pressed into military service.
This possibility was pointed out today by local naturalization and immigration officials. In the past, these officials said, foreign governments have exercised such powers and, with the great powers possessed by the Nazi regime, this step is not at all unlikely.
