Jews will suffer severely after the Saar reverts to Germany, Prince Hubertus Loewenstein, foe of Hitlerism, told the London correspondent of the Manchester Guardian.

All anti-Nazis will be punished, he said, especially those who have agitated openly for maintenance of the status quo.

Prince Loewenstein said he does not fear trouble in the Saar before the plebiscite so much as after. Should the vote go against Germany, he asserted, the Nazis will not accept the verdict.
