Philip M. Raskin, Yiddish poet, who returned this week from an extensive tour of the Middle West under auspices of the Jewish National Fund, declared yesterday he found “an awakening of Jewish consciousness” throughout the country.

He attributed this to recent events in Germany and the depression in this country. He characterized his tour as a “tremendous success.”
