Jaffe, Other Stage Stars to Appear at Benefit

Sam Jaffe, actor, will appear in a new role Sunday afternoon when he accompanies his wife, Ethel Taiz, in a group of songs. Miss Taiz will sing as part of a variety program at the New School for Social Research for the benefit of the National Congress for Unemployment and Social Insurance.

J. Edward Bromberg and other members of the Group Theatre in the cast of “Gold Eagle Guy,” the Tamiris Dancers, and Bunin and Cutler’s puppets, are on the program. Elmer Rice will appear representing the Interprofessional Association for Social Insurance, which is sponsoring the affair.

Adolphus Simeon Solomons was one of the incorporators of the National Association of the American Red Cross.

Later serving under Napoleon as a colonel in the Polish legion, he was killed in the battle of Kotzk.
