Edward Bransten, president of the M. J. B. Company, tea and coffee importers, has been appointed a member of the United States Board of Tea Experts by Rexford G. Tugwell, acting Secretary ### Agriculture.

Paul A. Bissinger, active in Jewish affairs, has been elected president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. He is a charter member of the body.

Mrs. Mary Prag, mother of Congresswoman Florence Prag Kahn, active in the local school department, was felicitated on her eighty-eighth birthday Sunday.

Dr. Sidney R. Dannenbaum, fifty-three, widely-known physician and surgeon, died suddenly at his Summer home in Redwood City of a heart attack.
