Plans for the participation of Greater New York in the national elections to be held April 28 for an enlarged American Jewish Congress will be formulated at a special meeting tomorrow night at the Hotel Commodore. The gathering has been called by the New York election committee, comprising 100 representatives of leading Jewish organizations.
The city will be divided into election precincts at tomorrow night’s session, organization of local conferences in various sections will be considered and the routine to be followed in the April voting will be worked out.
“The organization of the election campaign in Greater New York,” said a statement issued yesterday by the American Jewish Congress, “will initiate a nation-wide program of activity in behalf of the national democratic elections.
“While the general campaign lines are being formulated, the national board of elections, comprised of representatives of fifteen leading national organizations, will complete the plans for the technical work involved and will carry its lines into all sections of the country.
