Only fourteen percent of the 5,040 immigrants who entered Palestine in November, 1934, were workers, the Palestine Gazette officially declared.

Besides workers, artisans, capitalists, religious officials and students were among those who entered as settlers. Immigrants in all categories brought their families with them.
