Disenfranchisement of the Jews of Germany, in accordance with article four of the original program of the Nazi party, is being considered by the German government, Dr. Wilhelm Frick, Minister of the Interior has confirmed in an interview appearing in the Voelkischer Beobachter.
Frick’s statement that this step was being considered, appeared earlier this week in an East Prussian newspaper. Its publication in the Voelkischer Beobachter, which is owned by Adolf Hitler and is the official organ of the Nazi Party, is taken to indicate official approval of his stand.
This action, which has been threatened at intervals by the more outspokenly anti-Semitic members of the ruling Nazi group, would constitutionally relegate the Jews to a second-class status which, technically, they do not now have although such is the case in practice.
