The High Commissioner also remarked in his report that the new trade agreement recently reached between Poland and the Free City of Danzig is safeguarding the interests of Jewish merchants in Danzig, and guarantees for the Jews full liberty in their economic activities.

Mr. Lester concluded his report with the disclosure that he has approached the Danzig government for information with regard to the admission of Jewish students into the law faculty of the Danzig university. He also asked he said for re-admission of Jewish lawyers who were expelled from the labor courts. The Senate has to date not replied to these requests.
