Excellency for receiving today a Jewish delegation and giving it a chance to express itself about the present situation in Harbin. I hope that your Excellency will kindly convey our feelings and suggestions to the Manchukuo Government and assure them of Jewish desire to see peace and prosperity maintained throughout the country. No special favors are asked for from the former to the latter, except adherence to law and the punishment of those who transgress it and challenge it.
“We are not unmindful of the fact that the principal foundation of all states are good laws and good arms. We respectfully withdraw from your presence and thank you again for giving us the privilege to lay before your Excellency the grievances of the Jews in Manchukuo, which are shared by us and which we hope will be redressed and the majesty of the law vindicated.”
Minister Ariyoshi replied, expressing sympathy with the object of the delegation, to help the Jews in Harbin, and promising to forward the copy of the resolution to the Foreign Office.
