Since its inception thirty years ago, the Jewish National Find has planted 1,473,000 trees in Palestine, officials of the fund disclosed today.
During the Jewish year 5694, which ended in September, 1934, the fund planted 130,862 trees as compared with 118,360 in the previous year. Trees were planted primarily in land which is not suitable for agriculture, fun officials said.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
