The Blue-White Keren Kayemeth box, a fixture in more than one million Jewish homes throughout the world, serving as a repository for contributions to enable the Jewish National Fund to carry on its Palestine land redemption work, appeared in a new garb last night, at a rally of Zionist volunteers, held in the Hotel Pennsylvania.

The rally, attended by more than 1,000 persons, launched a two-months’ effort to distribute in New York City 10,000 replicas of a new American design to the traditional Blue-White box. The new design has engraved upon its front the map of Palestine.

The rally was presided over by Samuel Markewich, chairman of the Jewish National Fund Council for Greater New York, and addresed by Dr. Israel Goldstein, Morris A. Zeldin and Abrham Tannenbaum.

A free round-trip to Palestine will be awarded to one of the 1,000 volunteers whose efforts will result in the largest amount raised for the Jewish National Fund through the medium of the newly distributed box, it was announced at the rally.
