A colorful celebration was held here today prior to the Jewish steamer Tel Aviv’s departure on its first trip to Trieste. The ship was richly decorated for the event, bearing the flags of all nations, including the blue-white standard with an emblem of the city of Tel Aviv.

District Commissioner Keith-Roach greeted the assembly in the name of the Palestine government. Arnold Bernstein, owner of the vessel, was among the speakers.
