The victorious outcome of the Manitoba trial in which Jews obtained a court injunction against the local Nazi paper prohibiting publication of anti-Jewish propaganda, has encouraged Jewish leaders here to introduce a bill in the Ontario legislature asking for an anti-libel law, which would protect the Jews from libelous anti-Semitic attacks.
The bill, it is reported, will be introduced by J. J. Glass. a member of the legislative assembly. According to this bill individuals in Ontario will be held liable for slanderous statements made against any section of the community or any race or creed.
