Jacob Epstein, famous American-born Jewish sculptor, created another sensation today with a seven-ton statue of Jesus which he will display at an exhibition opening Friday.
Seldom have British art critics been aroused to such indignation as today after an advance view of Epstein’s latest work. The indignation recalls the severe criticism Epstein provoked when he exhibited “Genesis.” The same exhibit includes a bust of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, ex-president of the World Zionist Organization.
