The “Aryan” paragraph as practiced in Germany was for the first time introduced in Poland today by the municipal council of the city of Lodz, one of the largest Polish industrial centers.

In voting to assign an annual prize for the best works in literature, the municipal council resolved that the prize should be limited “to ‘Aryans’ only.”
