Mischa Botwinink, the Soviet chess champion, and Salo Flohr, the champion of Czechoslovakia, won the world’s championship jointly in the international chess tournament which concluded here yesterday. Each of them won thirteen games and lost six.
Close on the dual champions heels were Lasker and Capablanca, internationally known chess players who participated in the tournament.
Of the ten prizes awarded at the international tournament, which was marked by large attendant at every session, Jews took seve#. The names of the Jewish winner Spielman, Ch. Levenfish, A. Rogzin, Morris Lilienthal, F. Ruim in addition to Botwonink, are and Z. Kahn.
