Jewish business men in Danzig were preparing today to liquidate their businesses and leave Danzig before the Nazis succeed in obtaining full control over this Free City, which is under the jurisdiction of the League of Nations.
With the experience of the Jews in the Saar fresh in their minds, the Jewish leaders were highly perturbed by the open campaign which the Nazis started yesterday to win absolute control over Danzig.
A report made public here today added to the fear of the Jewish population. This report discloses that the Nazi government in its reply to England on the restoration of the German army states very clearly that its ambition is to regain Danzig under all circumstances.
