One of the oldest congregations in Greater New York, the Congregation Shaare Zedek, 212 West Ninety-third street, will celebrate its ninety-seventh anniversary with a dinner and entertainment Sunday night at the Hotel Plaza.

The congregation was founded in 1837 on the lower East Side and for years was known as the Henry Street Shule. Its present rabbi is Dr. Elias L. Solomon. Reverend D. Roitman is cantor. Isaac Haft is president.
