Louis Wiley, business manager of the New York Times, one of the most prominent Jews in America, died yesterday at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital after an operation which he underwent on March 11. He was 65 years old.
Funeral services for Mr. Wiley will be held at ten o’clock tomorrow morning at Temple Emanu-El. Rabbi Samuel H. Goldenson will officiate. Burial will follow at Mount Kisco cemetery.
Mr. Wiley had been with the New York Times since 1896. Though not a Zionist he was interested in observing the activities of the Jewish Agency for Palestine during the first year of its existence.
