A new anti-religious drive was started here today by the government press in connection with the forthcoming Passover holidays.

Under the slogan “the Soviet School must not be neutral towards religion,” the Shtern, a Communist Jewish daily newspaper, announced today that all Jewish children should be compelled to attend school on Saturday. The paper complains that “counterrevolutionary elements are trying to influence the Jewish children to observe religion.”
