The Cameo Theatre on Forty-second street, which like the Acme on Union Square goes in strongly for motion pictures produced in Soviet Russia, is currently showing the customers what is described as “the first Soviet jazz comedy.” The film is called “Moscow Laughs.”
G. V. Alexandrov, who was assistant director in the making of “Potemkin” and other noted Communist talkies, was in full charge while “Moscow Laughs” was being shot, the Amkino Corporation reports.
