The Jewish population of Palestine was stirred to deepest emotion today when an Arab lost his life in an effort to save several young Jews from drowning.
The Arab noticed several youths struggling in the waters of the Mediterranean, trying to reach the shores of Tel Aviv. Without hesitation he jumped into the water in an effort to save them, but was himself overcome.
