A sharp discrepancy was seen here between a resolution on immigration adopted today at the session of the Zionist Actions Committee, and an assurance given the committee last week by M. Shertok, member of the Zionist Executive, that the new immigration regulations published by the government do not affect the monopoly which the Jewish Agency hitherto enjoyed with regard to obtaining immigration certificates from the Palestine government.

Today’s resolution of the Actions Committee requests that the Palestine government “should not complicate the work of the Zionist Executive by assigning special categories and sub-categories of immigrants.” (The new regulations of the Palestine government provide that in addition to the Zionist Executive, every employer in the country may apply to the government for immigration certifi-
