Increasing interest in leisure time activities among the Jewish educational and religious institutions is shown in the announcement made by James S. Stanley, president of the Leisure League of America, in connection with the Hobby Roundup. More than forty organizations throughout Greater New York are preparing exhibits and demonstrations for the ten-day exposition, to open May 1.

The Institutional Synagogue, part of the Jewish program, will present "The Escape From Cordova" in the little theatre of the exposition. This is a dramatization based on the life of Maimonides and will be part of the celebration of the 800th anniversary of that renowned physician, scholar and philosopher. Another play, "The Dollar," will be staged by the Yonkers Jewish Community Center.

Other activities to be participated in by the various units of Jewish centers include a badminton match by the Portchester Center, a fencing demonstration by the 110th Street Y. W. H. A., a table tennis and chess tournament by the Ninety-second Street Y. M. H. A., a fifteen-minute tumbling match by Council House, a puppet show by the Brooklyn Y. M. H. A, boxing and wrestling matches by the Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst, a concert by the Hazomir Choral Society of the Bronx Y. M. H. A., and a concert by the symphony orchestra of the Mount Vernon Y. M. H. A.
