New officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Chicago section of the Council of Jewish Women. Mrs. Harry J. Myerson, who was elected in 1934 for two years, continues in that office. Mrs. Mitchell Edelson was named first vice-president; Mrs. Ralph A. Reis, second vice-president; Mrs. Max Lewison, financial secretary; Mrs. Mitchell Hammer, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Manuel Schochet, treasurer, and Mrs. William H. Sahud, recording secretary.

BALTIMORE

An Art in Industry exhibit, arranged under the direction of Alvin Epstein of this city, will open here at Hutzler Brother’s Exhibition Hall on April 24. Such well known designers as Henry Dreyfuss, George Sakier, Gilbert Rohde, Kurt Versen, Lester Paul Weiner, William Lescaze, Robert Heller, Joseph Aronson, Lurella Guild, Russel Wright and Marguerita Mergentime are exhibiting.

NEW YORK CITY

The Brooklyn region of National Junior Hadassah has launched its fourth annual “Give-or-Get” campaign to raise funds for its several Palestinian projects. The campaign will culminate with a musicale and tea May 5 at the Hotel Park Lane.

Delegates from the entire State are expected at the annual convention of the New Jersey Branch of the United Synagogue of America which will be held May 5 at Temple Beth-El here.

WASHINGTON

Jewish War Veterans of this city commemorate the Passover with a community seder to be held at the Jewish Community Center, Sunday evening. The ceremony is to be a duplicate of the one held in Paris in 1919 for more than 2,000 Jewish soldiers. Abe Shefferman, who officiated over the seder in Paris at the time, will sit at the head of the table.

The Washington Council of Jewish Women has approved a grant of $25 toward the National Symphony Orchestra subscription campaign now under way. On the women’s group of this campaign, the Council is represented by Mrs. Esther Behrend and Mrs. Milton King.
