Anti-Semitic disturbances broke out today in the city of Hrubieszow, near Lublin, when a drunken peasant, Meczyslaw Ozog, gathered a crowd in front of a Jewish restaurant by shouting that the Jews had armed themselves with rifles.
“The Jews inside the restaurant have shot at non-Jews,” someone in the crowd shouted.
The police had difficulty in dispersing the crowd. A thorough search was made of the restaurant and of everyone there. Finding no arms, the police arrested Ozog for causing the disturbances.
