That the Jewish position in Germany is going from bad to worse and that Jews are being forced to sell business enterprises to “Aryans,” was reported today by the Joint Foreign Committee at a meeting of the Board of Jewish Deputies.

The report submitted by the Joint Foreign Committee states that anti-Jewish measures in Germany have been intensified by the authorities in addition to the increased anti-Jewish propaganda which continues replete with malicious allegations.

“This intensified campaign has produced a marked deterioration of the position of German Jewry,” the report emphasizes.

‘PARAGRAPH’ IN TRADE

The committee’s report point out that it is apparent the “Aryan Paragraph” restrictions are being extended into commercial and industrial life. Jewish employes are being dismissed from firms under the pretext that their presence hurts the interests of the employers.

“Every measure is being employed in order to achieve the object of forcing the Jews out of the country. Falsehoods, no matter how grotesque, are being employed in the calumny and slander campaign against the Jews,” the report declares.

The committee’s statement discloses that many petty insults are inflicted by the authorities also against Jewish communities. “The intensified anti-Jewish campaign seems to be a part of the new policy adopted by the government,” the report says.
