The non-Jewish merchants are not hostile to the contemplated measure, because they do not anticipate that any of them will be refused licenses. The Jewish merchants, however, fear that the new plan will lead to the annihilation of Jewish trading in Poland.

The representative of the Small Traders’ Association, Mr. Sundelevitch, expressed the belief here that the new law is a menace to the Jews of Poland.
