The Catholic population of the city of Trier, in the Rhine, is highly excited over distribution of a special directory of “non-Aryan” business firms which includes names of Jews as well as of non-Jews.

The city of Trier is populated chiefly by Catholics, who resented the inclusion in the directory of many Catholic firms.

The Jewish firm of Berncastel in Trier was attacked yesterday by Nazi hooligans who smashed the windows and painted the walls of the firm with slanderous inscriptions.
